Desecrator were and old school band hailing from Nottingham, UK. Only released a single promo and this cult classic, then promptly disappeared. I can't for the life of me figure out why, considering this was such a high-quality album. Must've had a streak of bad luck or something, as no label would dump this band after this LP.
Desecrator plays a mid-paced, and very commanding classic old school style. The vocals aren't gutturals, but more along the lines of a hearty growl. The kind that are right up there in your face. Bass is more audible than most Death Metal releases and you can hear the double bass pounding away quite frequently with the bass guitar backing it up all the way. A great album indeed.
